Black and Brown Coalition Community Leadership Program
Our goal is to create a support and a space for black and brown community members who serve or want to serve in community leadership capacities. We define a community leader as a person who is willing to take responsibility for the well-being and improvement of their communities.
Community leaders include:
- Advocates
- Organizers
- Board Members
- Committee Members
- Commission Members
- Association Members
In partnership with the Arkansas Public Policy Panel and Arkansas United, the purpose of this coalition is to create a group of movers and shakers to serve on boards, committees, and commissions, which is critical to ensuring there are diverse perspectives around the issues that our community.

Program participants will:
- Gain insight into the various ways to serve as community leaders
- Receive notification about opportunities to serve in community leadership roles
- Learn to direct energy to drive best possible outcomes for self, teams, and organizations.
- Strengthen skills to generate effective communication and community impact
